The Grind is a webcomic started in 2009 by Harrison McLain (dA member Spalding004. It follows the adventures of one hopeful newcomer to strange and 'noble land.'

He is actually in an MMO, but refuses to grasp that particular piece of knowledge.

Important Characters Thus Far:

Spalding
Has a very -overly- optimistic view of the world he has found himself in. He is currently enlisted, along with Devian, to complete "The King's Quest," though he has allowed himself to be distracted by the city of Rihavis.

Devian
Spalding's mage companion. Devian is more grounded in, well, reality and knows full well where he is and what he is doing. Or he thought he did, before his recent death and meeting with DEATH himself. Now he's not so sure. He seems to have developed a hostile attitude towards Spalding since he was been brought back to life.

The Farmer
Jaded and lazy, the Farmer shall prove to be no end of torment for Spalding, as Spalding shall no doubt prove endless torment for him as well.

DEATH
Seems to know exactly what is going on.

Fade
Username: BieberFever34, the villain has usurped the throne and relocated the king to a prison in an undisclosed location.

Shiny
A Shiny pikachu from another dimension, looking for a hero.

Varrock Rihavis
Though Devian claims there is no such city, contrary to evidence to the...contrary, Rihavis is the one of the largest cities in the kingdom...or it was until it was accidentally burned to a crisp by Devian.
